Dispatcher Paragon Cloud Client proxy support

Dispatcher Paragon Cloud Client supports the following proxy configurations taken from the operating system settings:

  • Plain proxies without authentication
  • Proxies with Kerberos authentication. The authentication token is acquired automatically from the user session.

Which system proxy configurations are supported depends on the target platform and may change in the future. Note that in order for the local storage or hybrid mode to work correctly via proxy, the proxy service must allow idle TCP connections for extended periods of time, so that the persistent connection to Dispatcher Paragon Cloud is not terminated.

Windows

The following system proxy configurations are supported:

  • Manual configuration with address and port.
  • Automatic configuration with auto-discovery URL (PAC).

Windows provides per-user proxy settings. In multi-user environments like Terminal Services or Citrix, proxy settings or authentication token of any logged-in user may be used for communication.

MacOS

Only Manual proxy configuration for HTTPS proxy access is supported.

HTTP proxy settings are deprecated.
